Sit Down, God…I’m Angry
Author: R.F. Smith Jr. — $12.00

Sit Down, God...I'm Angry encourages readers to positively acknowledge and handle their anger over the death of a loved one. Based on decades of experience as a practicing pastor working with families who have lost loved ones, Smith contends that anger is always present but is so off-limits in matters of faith that people delay healing by refusing to admit that they are angry. In this personal account of the death of his son, Smith admits his anger at God, relates the long journey of dealing with this anger, and details the process of making a pilgrimage to the place where he could live, work, and love again.

Plan B Living…Life Can be Good, No Matter What
Author: Rebecca Faye Smith Galli (unpublished)

This book will be the first to invite the public into the private world of a devastating circumstance:  Becky Galli, a healthy thirty-eight-year-old mother of four, goes to bed with the flu and wakes up paralyzed.

In Plan B Living..., Becky recounts the last twenty years of her life through her e-mail journal as she reconnects with an old high school buddy she hasn't seen in seventeen years.  The e-mails appear much as originally written-- first to family and friends, then to a larger audience, as Becky became the spokesperson for her father during his bout with cancer.  Her excitement builds and her vision becomes focused as she realizes she is connecting with people again.  After encouragement from her cyber friends, she submitted one e-mail story about playing soccer with her son and it was published in The Baltimore Sun.  A local weekly soon asked her to write a column and she started, “From Where I Sit..” musings from the wheelchair about everyday life..

As she wrote her e-mails and articles, she discovered they were not just for those living life from a wheelchair.  The sadness, humor, joy and rage in her writings had a common element that seems to appeal to both the able-bodied and the disabled.  “We all are forced to take paths unchosen,” she says.  “No one is immuned.”

However, as she struggled to make sense out of life's unexplained events, she discovered that life can be good—no matter what.

“Our paths may be unchosen; nevertheless, we can refuse to be defined by my circumstance,” she affirms “When left with only Plan B choices, life can still be good.”
